Becoming Someone My Younger Self Would Admire

It's been a minute since I've sat down to write.

Life has been full lately. Between a busy spring market, the summer market picking up, kids who are out of school, camps, and all the fun that comes with this season, life has been moving quickly. Somewhere in the middle of it all, I've found myself reflecting on something I can't quite shake.

I'm becoming someone my younger self would admire.

The funny thing is, becoming isn't a destination. It isn't a finish line you eventually cross. It's a lifelong process.

It's learning. Growing. Healing. Trusting. Falling down and getting back up. Letting go of the plans you thought were best and discovering that God's plans have always been better.

There are still days when I don't understand what God is doing. Days when life feels uncertain or doesn't go the way I hoped. If I'm honest, anxiety can still creep in when I don't know what's ahead. But time and time again, God has proven Himself faithful. Looking back, I can see His fingerprints on every chapter of my life, even the ones I wouldn't have chosen myself.

Today, when I look around, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude.

I get to build a real estate business that I genuinely love, helping buyers, sellers, families, and investors throughout Grande Prairie and the surrounding area. I get to meet incredible people, build lifelong relationships, and invest in a community that means so much to me. Grande Prairie has become such a big part of my story, and being able to raise my family here, grow my business here, and give back to this community is something I never take for granted.

One of the greatest blessings of my career is getting to watch other people become, too.

Every day I have the privilege of walking alongside people as they step into new chapters of their own lives. I get to help first time buyers purchase their very first home. I get to help growing families find a home with room to make new memories. I get to help empty nesters embrace a new chapter with confidence. I get to help investors grow their real estate portfolios and build long term wealth. Every client's story is different, but each one is taking an important step forward, and it's an honour that they trust me to be part of that journey.

That's why real estate has never simply been about buying and selling homes for me. It's about walking alongside people as they step into some of life's biggest milestones.

Helping families has always been one of the greatest joys of my career. And I will never stop.

When I think about my younger self, I don't think she'd be proud because everything turned out perfectly. I think she'd be proud because I kept going. Because I chose faith over fear. Because I trusted God even when I couldn't see what He was doing. Because the life I'm building today is rooted in purpose instead of perfection.

Looking ahead, I still don't know exactly what God has planned.

But after everything He's brought me through, I know this.

I can trust the Author of the next chapter just as much as I've trusted Him with every chapter before.
